Programs are scheduled throughout the year to bring craftsmen and public together offering the opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas. Guest speakers are invited to present demonstrations of expertise. Programs are generally held at the Guild's Friendship Craft Center, however on occasion, may be held in the studio of a craftsman, or at a local business.
Membership with the York Town Craft Guild provides the opportunity to have one's work reviewed by the Chapter Standards Committee for craftsmanship, design, style, and material. Chapter jury status is granted to those who show excellence in their craft and is awarded to those who meet standards set forth by the local chapter. Achieving chapter jury status gives one the opportunity to exhibit his/her work in the guild's gallery.
