Beginning Stained Glass
Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th
9:00am – 4:00pm
In this 2 day class you will get an understanding of safety measures associated with working with glass, solder, lead came and chemicals used in creating works in stained glass. Introduction to and use of the tools and techniques to create works in stained glass. Students will learn how to score and break glass – both straight lines and curves; how to shape glass using a grinder; copper foil technique for preparing panel for soldering; soldering and finishing the panel with a lead came frame.
Students complete a stained glass panel of approximately one square foot, choosing among several patterns provided by the instructor. No prior experience required.

2019 York Town Craft Guild’s “Spooktacular” Artfest and Open House

This event is in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen’s 75th Diamond Celebration. The “Spooktacular” Artfest and Open House will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 10AM to 3PM and will be held at the York Town Craft Guild Facility and grounds located at 639 N. Franklin St., York, PA.
The 2019 “Spooktacular” Artfest and Open House will offer both outdoor vending and demonstration spaces, as well as indoor vending and demonstration table spaces, the public will have the opportunity to purchase and appreciate the fine arts and fine crafts of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen’s artists and crafters.
