Come learn the basics of beginning weaving with weaving book author, Susan Kesler Simpson! This class is geared to those individuals that would like to learn how to weave. You will learn how to calculate yardages, how to dress the loom, understand the parts of the looms and how they interrelate. You will learn about the different types/brands of looms so that you can make an informed choice should you decide to buy a loom in the future. Each student will wind their own warp and dress their loom. Basic weave structures will be covered, plain weave and various tabbies. At the end of the class, each student will have a project or projects to take home.
Participants will need to bring: darning needles, ruler, calculator, graph paper, paper/pencil, scissors and tape measure.
